The total impurities of PBN products are usually lower than 100ppm and the purity is not less than 99.99%. PBN crucibles has been made especially in the semiconductor industry. It can be used as an OLED evaporation unit, semiconductor single crystal growth (VGF, LEC) crucibles. With high density and purity, PBN is also widely used in vacuum technology, such as high temperature and high vacuum equipment insulation boards. But PBN is more expansive than hot press boron nitride.
In addition, hot press boron nitride has its advantages. On the one hand, it is easy to process, and it is easier to get the required shapes and sizes according to demand, such as powder metal atomized nozzles and other high-temperature components. On the other hand, it is more cost -effective, and is more suitable for high-temperature components such as high-temperature furnace insulation components, thermocouple protection tubes, amorphous with nozzle, and powder metal atomized nozzle and so on.
